About this Event

1 May 2026 marks the 100-year anniversary of Ford Motor Company becoming the first major employer to adopt a 5-day, 40 hour working week.

To mark the anniversary and make the point that now is the Time For Change, we are asking you to join us for a flagship rally at Ford’s Dagenham Plant, marking the birthplace of the five-day week legacy.

We'll have speakers, banners, chants, and hopefully some media attention too, so make sure you're there in plenty of time for the 08.00 kick off as we make our way up from the FROG ISLAND / FORD ESTATE sign to the main gate.

The nearest rail station is Dagenham Dock, or you can get the 174 from Dagenham Heathway to Thames Avenue and walk frrom there.
