🩵🩷 Hey all, myself and my daughters are holding a charity event in aid of Dementia UK next month at Dores Village Hall and would like to invite you all and your family & friends for an afternoon of fund~raising, frivolity, fizz, fun games, tea & fancies. It’s super simple ~ purchase a cake and a cuppa, take a seat and have a good chin wag with others or maybe even a wee dance. 🫖🍰💃🏻
All are very welcome, bring the kids too..
And afterwards why not take a walk along Dores beach and walk off that cake.. 🏖️😉
🩵🩷 A little back story for you… 🩵🩷
My mom, (Isla Griffiths), the kids Gran was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia some time ago.
Although still living independently for now (she hasn’t quite lost all of her marbles. Family joke with mom!😂) with my Daughter on call 24/7 we know the time is going to come when we will be reliant on such services and the wonderful Admiral Nurses at Dementia UK.
My mom, (Gran) loves getting out and about and especially loves a great afternoon tea, the reason for our event. (She has a better social life than me!😂)
She’ll also be there on the day..
🩵🩷 Did you know in the time it takes to boil your kettle another person in the UK will develop Dementia, so the need for more specialist nurses has never been greater. Your generosity helps make that possible.
🩵🩷On a lighter note we have already starting collecting for the raffle but would be very grateful if anyone at all local had any prizes for the raffle. I’m out at Kinchyle, Scaniport so I can easily collect.
