Sasha Bogdanowitsch will present an evening of original music and songs for voice and a variety of global and original instrumentation alongside electronics. Sasha’s music crosses the boundaries between world music, avant-pop, ambient, acapella and folktronica and will feature instruments like the handpan, lyre, mountain dulcimer, clawhammer banjo, Slovakian fujara, African kamelengoni, Lumen and Tenori-on.
Special guests include the newly formed vocal trio, Loom Song, featuring Sasha along with Raphael Sacks and Onome presenting their new works alongside pieces by Bogdanowitsch.
Sasha Bogdanowitsch is a composer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and educator, whose work includes music for theater, dance and film, interdisciplinary performance, concert music and original songs. His compositional output is heavily influenced by his studies of world, folk and contemporary music. He is co-founder of the arts non profit, World In One and interdisciplinary ensemble, Loom. Sasha has performed worldwide and throughout the New York area in venues such as: Carnegie Hall, Whitney Museum, Symphony Space, BAM and Roulette.
