Join us in celebration as Sikoya unveils two projects of the heart. This will be a night of poetry readings, original songs, collaborative involvement, playfulness and existential discussion.
The album and book both dance within the realms of grief, death, offering, Earth justice, and the path back to joy. The book will be available for purchase; cash or Venmo accepted.
Sikoya is an indie-folk artist and poet local to the Hudson Valley. Their music dances in the liminal space between the ethereal and existential themes of reality. Their songs often fuse folk style fingerpicking, singing, and poetry to describe stories both personal and archetypal.
They draw inspiration from mythic folklore, bluegrass, and slam poetry to create vivid imagery and an auditory experience. Sikoya’s offerings are often intimate, inviting the audience to step into their heart and be open to the vulnerability of feeling the human experience.
