Adventure is Calling! 🌲🚴♂️🏃♀️Explore hundreds of acres of nature, hiking and biking trails, and beautifully preserved prairie grasslands at the gem of western Johnson County. This race will happen rain or shine, so come prepared for any type of weather!
Looking for a little adventure?
2-Hour Race – All Foot
• Open to solos or teams
• Trek to all checkpoints and encounter a few extra challenges
• Designed for beginners, but expect some obstacles like brush, trees, and even water
• Approx. 6–8 miles of trekking on paved and off-trail terrain
• Start: 9:00 AM
6-Hour Race – Trek, Bike & Paddle
• Navigate with pre-plotted topographic maps provided at check-in race morning
• Trekking, biking on single track and paved trails, and paddling on the lake
• Approx. 20+ miles biking, 10 miles hiking, 1–2 miles paddling
• Mandatory transition checkpoints, but most are optional—choose your route and strategy
• Start: 7:00 AM
• Solo racers are encouraged to bring their own kayak; 2-, 3-, and 4-person teams will be provided canoes
Key Info for Both Races
• Self-supported – carry your own food, water, first aid, and gear
• Maps distributed at check-in on race morning
• Limited rules of travel; teams choose their own route between checkpoints
• Access only to what you carry on your bike or in your pack
