This show features 4 of the Island’s best and most established blues acts on one bill! Vocalist/harmonic player Lazy Mike Mallon plays good rockin' music rooted in the early electric blues of the 50s and 60s. He was nominated for a Maple Blues Award as New Act of the Year in 2023, and also two Independent Blues Awards for Best Traditional Blues Recording and Best Traditional Blues Band. Mike’s new band "Lazy Mike & the Argyle Jets" includes music veterans Todd Sacerty on bass, Pat Hetu on drums, and guitarist John Tanton.
After twenty fantastic years in the Toronto music scene, Mark Crissinger moved to British Columbia. Since 2009 he has been building a solo career, playing over 100 shows a year on Vancouver Island, the BC lower mainland, Ontario, & Quebec. He has released 6 studio albums, 4 live albums, and has been nominated for a Maple Blues Award.
Gerry Barnum is a seasoned singer / songwriter with 7 critically acclaimed CDs to his credit. Career highlights include sharing the stage with some of the best in the business including Lyle Lovett, John Mayall and John Hammond. In addition to his solo albums Gerry has recorded with K.D. Lang, David Gogo and many others..
Renovation Blues Band has been together since 2007. After 19 years of passionate festival & club appearances, last year they released their CD “Nail It!” (the band’s 3rd release) which obtained 20+ weeks of national airplay. Renovation Blues Band is Paul Gorosh (drums, vocals), Sean Kilback (guitars, vocals), and Howard Mallett (bass, vocals).
