On 8th / 9th February 2025 AB Workshops and Funkgurus Artist Management welcomes saxophonist and composer Tim Garland for a two day Saxophone Workshop, a fantastic opportunity for sax players to work with one of the UK’s top saxophonists.
British saxophonist and reed player Tim Garland is a forward-thinking jazz musician whose inventive style often crosses the boundaries between modern creative improvisation and contemporary classical composition.
His musical journey has seen him play with Chick Corea for more than 16 years whilst in his own music explorations is as ambitious and prolific as his vision.
As a band leader and co-leader he is responsible for much of the output of the groups; Lammas, The Underground Orchestra, Storms / Nocturnes (feat. Joe Locke and Geoffrey Keezer), Acoustic Triangle, the last few years of Bill Bruford’s Earthworks, and The Lighthouse Trio (feat; Gwilym Simcock and Asaf Sirkis).
Playing level: As a guide, you’ll need an instrumental ability of Grade 5 standard or above.
