About this Event

A fugitive sister. A dangerous father. A terror cell hiding in plain sight.

Come along and join us on Friday 13 February 2026 from 2pm where bestselling Australian author Tim Ayliffe will present his latest book Dark Desert Road. This gripping thriller follows police officer Kit McCarthy as she searches for her missing twin sister Billie. Kit hasn’t seen Billie in over a decade after she chose to follow their violent father into a life of crime. Kit's journey to find Billie takes her through shuttered towns destroyed by drought where everybody owns guns, nobody talks to cops, and people get lost for a reason.
