We are excited to participate in the Tacoma Beer Week and thrilled to feature some lambics from Tilquin that are aged in wine barrels. Tasting line up:
Tilquin Pinot Nior a l’Ancienne - 8.2% ABV - Tilquin Pinot Noir is a complex and robust traditional lambic style beer. Fermented with 260g of Pinot Noir grapes per liter of beer. It is rich and dense with aromas of dark fruit, earth, and toasted bread. It is unfiltered and refermented in the bottle to a champagne-like consistency. The grapes themselves are harvest from Burger in Steinseltz
Tilquin Oude Pinot Gris a l’Ancienne - 8% ABV - Similar to the Pinot Noir in technique, but with a bit more grapes per liter of beer. Expect flavors of lemon curd, sharp citrus confit, and a touch of toasted grainy character. This is a medium bodied beer with a fantastic balance of fruitiness and mouthwatering sourness.
Tilquin Oude Syrah a l’Ancienne - 8% ABV - A slightly lighter and more refreshing version of Tilquin red wine infusions. Flavors of bright red berries, tart underripe raspberry, and sharp cranberry with a distinct spice and grain character laying its foundation. Like the other examples, this had been bottle conditioned for a refreshing level of carbonation and tight and sustaining head of bubbles.
Cheers!
