"Looking to the Future and the Past" is a program of works which spans over 350 years of innovative works. Some, such as Biber's wild "Battalia à 10", employ new and experimental techniques for the musicians. Beethoven's first symphony, builds on the symphonic legacies of Haydn and Mozart while foreshadowing the genius Beethoven would bring to the form.
