Trinity Youth Chorus sings a Bach masterpiece, uplifted by the Trinity Baroque Orchestra
About this Event

The Trinity Youth Chorus takes on the challenging and dramatic Tilge, Höchster, meine Sünden, by Johann Sebastian Bach. Accompanied by the period instruments of the Trinity Baroque Orchestra, the young musicians will sing Bach’s arrangement of Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s famous Stabat Mater for soprano and alto voices, with text from the famously penitential Psalm 51. Bach’s version is richer than the original, with more complex ornamentation better suited to his German text. Trinity’s version will be adapted to include the Trinity Youth Chorus tenor and bass voices. Directed by Melissa Attebury.

Registration for this free event is highly recommended as seating is limited.

We suggest arriving 45 minutes before start time. Admission is first-come, first-served, with ticket holders receiving priority (although not guaranteed entrance if the venue reaches capacity).
