About this Event
This Friday at our Professional Practices series: Tiger Dingsun
Friday, April 24th
12 - 1 PM
Room 730 @ Pfizer building 7th floor
We are pleased to welcome Tiger Dingsun, Creative Director at Triple Canopy, who will share insights from his career and perspectives on creative practice.
Tiger Dingsun is a writer, editor, and creative director based in New York, currently serving as Creative Director at Triple Canopy, a digital magazine and curatorial platform focused on art, literature, and critical thought. His practice spans editorial strategy, publishing, and visual culture, with an emphasis on experimental formats for reading and storytelling online.
Prior to Triple Canopy, Dingsun held editorial roles at publications including Bidoun and has contributed widely across art and literary platforms. His work explores translation, circulation, and the politics of cultural production, alongside interests in fandom studies, paleo-archaeology, Jungian psychoanalysis, and the poetics of the digital quotidian. His work has been exhibited or written about at Typojanchi, Sprint Milano, Unseen Archive, and It’s Nice That, and he has lectured at institutions including CCA, Princeton, Rhizome, Parsons, SVA, and VCU.
At Triple Canopy, Dingsun leads creative direction across editorial and digital initiatives, developing projects that challenge conventional boundaries between publishing, design, and exhibition-making. His broader interests include fandom studies, paleo-archaeology, Jungian psychoanalysis, and the poetics of the digital quotidian—threads that inform both his writing and curatorial approach.
