"A Minecraft Movie" is an entertaining, fantasy adventure film based on the 2011 video game Minecraft, the best-selling video game of all time. The movie follows the adventures of four misfits—Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Momoa), Henry (Hansen), Natalie (Myers) and Dawn (Brooks)—from the fictional town of Chuglass, Idaho, who are suddenly pulled through a mysterious portal into the Overworld, a bizarre cubic world that thrives on imagination. In order to return home, they’ll have to master this world while embarking on a magical quest with the help of an unexpected expert “crafter” named Steve (Black). Tickets for this film are by donation. Doors will open at 1pm for the pizza party ($5 at the door) and the film will begin at 2pm. Cash bar will be available. No outside food or drink allowed in the theatre. A Minecraft Movie is rated PG for mild language, cartoon violence (zombies, explosions), some scary themes (dark creatures), and dark/disturbing moments (like a character being stabbed off-screen). Runtime is 1 hour 41 minutes.
