PLEASE NOTE * This is the 1st of 2x Youth classes in Term 3 and runs from 25th July - 22 August. There will be a break on the 15th August to allow students work to dry before being glazed.
This is a small beginners class for young people aged 12 - 18yrs. Students will learn to prepare and center clay, throw, trim and decorate tumblers, small bowls and side plates using electric pottery wheels.
This class will include an introduction to the sgraffitto surface decoration technique. Together pieces will be simply glazed and available to collect up to 2 weeks after the class finish date.
Young people attending this course need to be able to self manage, follow instructions and take responsibility for clean up at the end of the night. Please bring an apron, a towel, your creative spirit and a willingness to get a little bit dirty!
This class is Thursday evenings 6 - 8 pm - students need a safe way to get home at the end of the night.
Most clay, firing costs, slips and glazes are included. (those high production potters may need to bring their own clay after 5 kg of club clay is used up)
Please remember to stay home if you are unwell. Mask wearing during the class will be optional.
Course cancellation policy as follows:
3+ weeks prior to start of term students will get a $115 refund.
1+ week prior to start of term students will get a $50 refund.
Cancellations less than 1 week prior to class starting due to illness, bad weather or any other reason will not be given any refund. If you are unable to attend a class during the term, we are unable to guarantee any makeup sessions.
We reserve the right to cancel a class with insufficient enrolment. A full refund will be issued in this case including any Eventbrite fees.
