This Thursday will be a very special one! Two events at the same time: Open Class and Audition for The Jassettes.
Who is The Jassettes? It's a Brussels based show group, but not just another one with Charleston and Jazz routines in their repertoire. We have something unique and rare, as our choreography is based on their research on authentic dances and original dance steps of the Jazz era of the 1920s to 1950s. We work with original black and white videos and doing our best to recreate well forgotten steps of the Jazz era. And now we might invite new dancers!
Who are we looking for? A dedicated new member of the team, who knows how to work both in the group and individually, who is interested in performance and who is ready to learn from old videos. And yes, we work only with female dancers.
Would you like to join us? Come to our Open Class and you will see how we work with original dance video clips. By the end of the class there will be a short show time. Based on that class you can decide if you want to join us.
You can't make it on 28th of May? Let us know, we'll try to find another day for a second wave.
But why is this an Open Class? We invite everyone to come and learn some original steps. There's no obligation comes with it, it can be just another Jazz class for advanced dancers.
