Thursday Morning SUP Yoga and Paddle

Join us for a gentle SUP yoga session sandwiched between two paddlIng sessions. This event is open to anyone 12 and up with basic paddling skills and the ability to self rescue if they fall off their boards. In this 1.5 hour session you can expect a 20 minute paddle along the shoreline from the Forebay Aquatic Center out to a quiet cove where you will be guided through a gentle 30-40 minute yoga session and the most relaxing Savasanna of your life, immersed in the sights and sounds of nature, followed by a paddle back to the aquatic center.

Class meets at the Forebay Aquatic Center which is located at North Forebay Recreation Center. Parking passes will be provided for class participants. Let the state parks employee in the kiosk know that you are there for an FAC event and have a parking pass waiting. If no agent is present then just drive in.

Paddlebaords and lifebests are provided but you are welcome to use your own upon staff approval.

EXPECT TO GET WET!

Wear quick dry clothing (ie. bathing suite or shorts, yoga pants, etc.)

Consider sun protection (hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm)

Foot protection for shore travel (water sandals, flip flops, water shoes, etc.)

Hydration and snacks (water bottles, power bars, trail mix)

Some additional items you may want to bring (dry-bag, waterproof phone case, ziplock bag)

DRUGS AND ALCOHOL PROHIBITED!

CLASS IS SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS OR POOR AIR QUALITY (i.e.smoke) If class is cancelled, you will be notified ASAP and issued a full refund.
