DIRECTIONS:
Get to the corner of Marconi and Long by whatever legal route you choose.
From I-70, Take Mound street to 4th Street, turn right (north) and take that to Spring Street. Take Spring to Marconi, turn Left (south) and take that to Long street. Turn right (head west) on Long street, proceed under the walkway overpass and go as close to the Railroad overpass as possible. Bikes will be parking there. That is the beginning of the Thunder Tunnel line up which will fill the north side of the street first, coming EAST. Then after that fills up all the way to the walkway overpass bridge, we will fill BOTH sides of the street.
From I-670, Take Neil Avenue south to Nationwide Blvd. Take Nationwide to Front Street, turn south and take that to Marconi. Then proceed to Long Street, turn right (head west) on Long street, proceed under the walkway overpass and go as close to the Railroad overpass as possible. Bikes will be parking there. That is the beginning of the Thunder Tunnel line up which will fill the north side of the street first, coming EAST. Then after that fills up all the way to the walkway overpass bridge, we will fill BOTH sides of the street.
At Marconi and Long, go "the wrong way" West on Long (it will be closed to traffic) and you will find the Thunder Tunnel set up under the first walk bridge on the NORTH side of the street only. After that fills up, we will be placing bikes on BOTH sides of Long Street (with pipes facing AWAY from runners) up to Marconi and then both sides of Marconi to Broad Street. The roads allowing access the Marconi and Long will close at 8 a.m., so plan to arrive BEFORE 8am! Race begins at 8:30 a.m., and by 9:15 motorcycles will be able to take Long to Marconi, travel south on Marconi to Broad, and take Broad west to wherever they wish to go.
