Thugshop Presents – Yant + AlethaIt’s Manchester-United on the 4th of April. Forget about the football club, no one’s dancing to their beat right now. Rather, we’ve got Mancunians Yant and Aletha taking on both floors.
Yant picks up an All Night Long shift at Headquarters, stepping into our cages to blare out all of that dark and groovy selections. His ability to grip dancefloors has seen him commanding the likes of Berlin’s Berghain, Kyiv’s K-41, and London’s Fold.
Doubling as a producer, Yant has released projects on labels such as SK_Eleven, Token Records, and BLACKAXON; conjuring up sounds that puts hypnotic rhythms and sleek drum patterns at the forefront.
On controls Upstairs is Rinse FM resident Aletha who’ll take things deep. Renowned for her genre-bending club sets, there’s no doubting that we’re set up to hear sounds from all over, packaged neatly and sharply for our ears.
No stranger to controlling the floor either, Aletha is a regular outfit around the UK – playing at local hotspots like The Cause, The Warehouse Project, and Drumsheds, alongside festival slots at Glastonbury and Parklife. Supporting her on the night is Headquarters' very own sho&tell.
