Thugshop Presents – XXL Series feat. Ben Klock

Yes, yes – we’ve waited quite awhile for this, someone whom we feel epitomises a big character of Thugshop through and through. He’ll kick off our XXL series in 2025 as powerfully as we ended it this year. Setting it all in motion come January is none other than the outstanding Ben Klock.

From stacked marathon shifts under his belt, holding a residency at Berghain, playing a part in launching Ostgut Ton’s influential record label, and the first name that comes to many DJ’s mouths for who he is – the Berliner extraordinaire's role in laying the foundations for what is now regarded as ‘Berlin Techno’ is well documented. Many of us from the team have caught him live in the past, and we’ll personally vouch for what will be a special night.

Ben Klock has toured across the far corners of the world throughout his long and illustrious career so far – orchestrating dancefloors like London’s fabric to Ibiza's DC-10 into big mania each and every time, on top of doing it together with some other killer names in Marcel Dettman and more. Festivals aren’t an exception to that rule either. Whether it’s peaktime or closing Klock pulls out all the stops. His revered approach towards selecting remains timeless as much as it is in constant evolution, and we’re stoked to take it all in on the 31st of January.

MDLR is Ben Klock’s only stop in South East Asia, which is a privilege in itself but also means that the next time he’s around is anyone’s guess. This is our (not so little) gift to you for all your love and support for us thus far, and we have some comp tickets up for grab as well in a previous clock post. This will be one for the books. Supporting him on the night will be  trusty residents  TMDDJ and Vaibs.Dress light, come in 5s (or by yourselves) – we’re gonna be in sync once the music fills our grey bunker.
