Location: The Union, located at 124 Sydney Street South Kitchener.
Dress code: Red Tie (Optional)

Thrive HIV Prevention & Support acknowledges that this year’s Red Scarf Gala is being hosted at The Union, a venue with limited physical accessibility.
We recognize that there are a few steps at the entrance and, more significantly, that the washrooms are located on a lower level without ramp or elevator access. The washrooms are gender neutral, but we understand that the lack of accessible access creates barriers for some community members and does not reflect our organization’s commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
While we made every effort to secure a fully accessible space, the combination of budget constraints and limited venue availability for our event date required us to make this difficult decision. We deeply regret the impact this may have on some attendees and remain committed to ensuring that future events are held in fully accessible spaces whenever possible.
For those attending the Gala who may require support or accommodations, please connect with a THRIVE staff member in advance or at the event—we will do our best to assist wherever possible.
The Red Scarf Gala is a part of Thrive HIV Prevention & Support's annual Red Scarf Project - an awareness-raising initiative in support of people living with HIV in Waterloo Region and Guelph-Wellington.
