An evocative evening of global improvisation featuring three distinct voices in dialogue. Reza Yazdanpanah—former university music professor in Iran and virtuoso of the Persian tar—brings deep tradition and expressive spontaneity to the stage. He is joined by acclaimed composer and pianist Hooshyar Khayam, whose works have been recorded by the Kronos Quartet and other internationally renowned ensembles, and who is widely celebrated within the Iranian community for his distinctive musical voice. Together with Jesse Stewart, this trio creates a rich, cross-cultural performance where rhythm, strings, and piano converge in a dynamic and immersive sonic journey.
