Three Great Breads: A Hands-On Baking Class
Focaccia, fruity soda bread, and a fresh yeast loafCome and join this hands-on baking class where you'll bake three delicious breads from scratch! We’ll start the class with a taste of Italy, creating a beautiful rosemary focaccia. Next we’ll travel to Ireland to create a fruity soda bread, and finish with a classic, fresh yeast loaf topped with your choice of seeds.
You’ll learn to work with fresh yeast, dried yeast, and bicarbonate of soda, gaining skills to recreate these incredibly useful and delicious breads at home. Homemade is always best!
Across cultures, bread is a symbol of community, nourishment and generosity. Whether you're a baking enthusiast or a complete beginner, this class is perfect for anyone looking to expand their baking skills and get some great recipes up their sleeve.
You will be taught by Zoe, owner of Flour Baby Bakery. Zoe is a self taught baker who recently trained at Ballymaloe Organic Cookery school. Zoe has honed her skills in London bakeries and has worked as a professional baking teacher, so there will be plenty of tips and tricks along the way.
While your dough rises and bakes, enjoy a glass of sparkling wine (a non-alcoholic option is available) and some light refreshments - the perfect way to unwind as you bake.
