PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Threads & Treasures – Youth Edition is a fun, hands-on creative program designed for children and teens aged 10 to 17. Through sewing, textile painting, décor creation, and handmade jewelry, participants explore creativity, develop practical life skills, and build confidence in a safe and supportive environment.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
Age Group: 10–17 years
Duration: 8–10 weeks
Schedule: Weekly sessions (1.5–2 hours)

WHAT PARTICIPANTS WILL DO
🧵 Learn basic hand and machine sewing
🎨 Create textile paintings and fabric designs
🏠 Design decorative items for real spaces
💍 Make bracelets, jewelry, and accessories
🎒 Sew useful everyday items
🎤 Present and showcase their creations with confidence
PROGRAM MODULES (SNAPSHOT)
Week 1 – Creative Discovery & Safety
Textiles, tools, teamwork, and a personal Creative Passport
Week 2 – Hand Sewing Basics
Simple stitches and first sewn project
Week 3 – Sewing Machine Introduction
Guided machine use and basic control
Week 4 – Textile Painting & Fabric Art
Painting on fabric using patterns, symbols, and colors
Week 5 – Decorative Sewing & Interior Design
Cushions, wall décor, and group projects for the Centre
Week 6 – Handmade Bracelets & Textile Jewelry
Fabric jewelry, beads, and creative gifting
Week 7 – Sewn Accessories & Useful Items
Pouches, pencil cases, headbands, and more
Week 8 – Creativity, Confidence & Showcase Prep
Naming creations, presentation, and teamwork
Optional Weeks 9–10 – Youth Artisan Showcase / Market Day
