Thracian Genocide RemembranceJoin us for Palm Sunday Liturgy at St. Anargyri, where following regular service, we will take a moment to honor the memory of the Greeks of Eastern Thrace who were persecuted by the Ottoman Empire. On April 6, 1914 — during Easter — the violence escalated drastically. This day became known to survivors as Black Easter (Μαύρο Πάσχα).
As the Remembrance Service falls one day before the recognized April 6th date, we ask that all PanThracian Members and supporters honor us with their presence and attend this liturgy. As Thracians, we must come together to honor our ancestors!
Following service, we welcome you all to join in the church hall for their Palm Sunday offerings.
