THRÆDS:
Multinational Berlin-based progressive / post-metal 5-piece THRÆDS formed in early 2020. Their debut EP ‘Akasha’, released in 2021, was recorded in KAOS Studios Berlin. The EP spawned two singles, ‘Tessera’ and ‘Colorless’, with accompanying music videos. In spring 2022 THRÆDS embarked on a 11-date tour through 7 countries in eastern and central Europe, in support of Lone Survivors (Fr.). The band then settled down to work on their self-produced debut album, Impermanence, which will be out in October 2024
THRÆDS’ sound blends heavy & melodic, bitter & sweet, groove & passion in equal measure. Their first single, “Story in Reverse”, is now available in all streaming platforms.
CAUTIONARY TALES:
Art-rock 5-piece Cautionary Tales, also formed in early 2020, blend a heady brew of post-punk, post-rock, outlaw country, and industrial. This Berlin-based collective, with roots in Aotearoa New Zealand and NYC, feel like a sledgehammer wrapped in silk. Often spacious and sometimes bitingly aggressive, they move seamlessly between post-rock compositions, tight garage-rock grooves, and industrial-inflected trip-hop, painting vivid backdrops to Will’s blackly comic narratives.
Their self-titled debut album, recorded at Massey Studios in Wellington, Aotearoa, was released in September 2023, and they’re well underway with the second, provisionally titled Songs About Sex & Death.
