Thorbjørn Stefansson, a renowned double bassist and composer, is widely recognized as a versatile artist within the European improvised music scene. He is an integral part of both the Danish and German jazz scenes and has collaborated with numerous national and international artists. This special performance marks the first time he will play completely solo, following in the footsteps of many great improvising double bass players.

All the music we play are original compositions and are characterized by melodies that come from the depths of the subconscious and harmonies that are guided by the logic of mathematics. The music originated allows us to sound sometimes like a lonely voice singing a children’s song, or like a symphonic orchestra playing a Mahler symphony, or a Pharoah Sanders meditative improvisation.
With the sound coming from a classic acoustic quartet formation and some analog effect pedals, every time we play together we are looking for a unique sound, a journey of dreams, experiences and fantasies.
