Thompson Springs is a 5 piece rock group from Chicago. Their hazy songwriting, which PBS called “western rock,” and love of the unknown, has led the band down a circuitous route playing shows across Europe, New Zealand, and America. Detroit Public Radio (WDET) noted that they pull influences from classic songwriters, like Tom Petty, to more recent indie artists, like Kurt Vile. Thompson Springs started working with Wilco’s Pat Sansone for their debut album, Undertones, which they released on Dropped Beauty Recordings in 2020. 2025 brings a new album, Vol. 1, and a European tour with Nikki Hill and The Pink Stones.
