Thompson Family Forever Wild Preserve Invasive Species Removal WorkdaySaturday May 16 from 9am – 12pm
What: Removing invasive plants near the trailhead.
Where: Thompson Family Forever Wild Preserve. Eastford Rd., Southbridge MA
Directions: Heading South on Elm St in Southbridge, take a right on Eastford Road. Follow the road for 2 miles; the trail head will be on your right, just south of Dennison Drive. You can also type 904 Eastford Rd, Southbridge into your GPS.
Parking: There is limited parking for four or five cars along the edge of the road. Use extra caution when entering and exiting your vehicle.
* Please bring water, sturdy close-toed shoes, layers for warmth, orange clothing for safety during hunting season. Also bring work gloves, clippers, loppers, and hand saws if you have them.
*We will be working in thick vegetation, so take precautions against ticks. Poison ivy is also abundant in the location we will be working. Long sleeves and pants are strongly recommended.
