About this Event
Welcome to the This Woman's Work 4th Annual Prom Dress Drive!
Join us in making prom season magical for Houston’s underserved high school girls!
More than 7,200 homeless students attend Houston Independent School District (HISD) schools. Like their peers, they dream of attending prom, but financial hardships often make it impossible. Carla’s Closet, a program of This Woman’s Work, is stepping in to help by hosting a Prom Dress Drive to collect gowns, shoes, accessories, and gift cards.
✨ How You Can Help ✨
We are accepting donations of:
👗 Gowns & Dresses
👠 Shoes & Accessories
💎 Jewelry & Handbags
🎁 Gift Cards & Monetary Contributions
This initiative supports Project Prom, an annual effort led by HISD’s Homeless Education Project and Harris County Justice of the Peace, Wanda Adams. The collected items will benefit homeless and at-risk high school seniors attending prom this year.
💡 Make an Impact
Since its inception, Carla’s Closet has collected over 2,000 dresses and countless accessories, proving that Houston’s generosity knows no bounds!
