About this Event

A Candle-Making & Creative Reflection Workshop for Women

A collaborative community fundraiser benefiting The Brave Women’s Community Center
Co-led by Hayley (Burn Wild Candles) & Lucia Severtson, Founder of The Brave Women’s Community Center
Theme: Reclaiming the light that someone once dimmed

Join us for a two-hour, intimate workshop designed to help women reconnect with their inner light through creativity, scent, reflection, and community.

This Little Light of Mine is a hands-on candle-making experience woven together with gentle creative prompts and intentional community-building. Together, we’ll create a space where—even for just one evening—you can feel rooted, seen, and part of something meaningful.

Hayley of Burn Wild guides participants through a beautiful, sensory candle-making process, while Lucia Severtson, licensed psychotherapist and founder of The Brave Women’s Community Center, leads the reflective and community-creating elements of the evening.

The Heart of the Workshop

After trauma, loss, or unsettling experiences, many of us are pulled out of our sense of safety—out of our inner “home.” This workshop invites you to gently re-root yourself through the act of creation.

Participants will create a sacred garden candle using nature-inspired molds of trees and flowers, symbolizing what they want to grow, protect, and nurture within themselves. With a curated scent bar, each person will also design a custom fragrance meant to evoke home, safety, and self.

The candle, the garden, and the scent serve as metaphors for reclaiming your light and choosing how you want to carry it forward.

A Community Fundraiser with Purpose

This workshop is a collaborative community fundraiser benefiting The Brave Women’s Community Center, a nonprofit creating brave, creative spaces where women can heal, reconnect, and reclaim their voices.

Proceeds help fund the Center’s survivor-led podcast, Brave Hearts Speak — a storytelling project amplifying women’s lived experiences with courage, honesty, and care. Your ticket directly supports the continuation of this work.
