Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is turning 50 years old in 2024! Kick off the celebration at our first municipal park, Independence Park, with the This Is Meck: Mecklenburg 250 festival. In partnership with the Trail of History, this festival will feature history programming and education by local partners, community outreach organizations, and more. This is a free event so come out for food, fun, and fellowship!
