About this Event
We’re excited to be bringing This Is Africa back for its third year, and once again, we’re proud to be working alongside Home Group and Tribe Tesi to make it happen.
This Is Africa has grown into something really special. It’s not just an event, but a space filled with joy, culture and connection; a moment for our communities to come together and celebrate African heritage right here in the North East. After last year’s incredible turnout, with music, dancing, great food and activities for children, we’re looking forward to making 2026 even more memorable.
What to Expect

Stalls
This event also provides individuals and organisations the chance to exhibit their work and services, with tables allocated at a first come first serve basis. If you would like to have a stall (£45 per table + 20% VAT) on the day, please send an email to [email protected]
Ticket Information
Tickets are free, but limited to 150 spaces to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Once they’re gone, they’re gone, so be sure to secure yours early. Please note that children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult, with a maximum of two children per adult.
