Award-winning UK vocalist Alice Milburn joins acclaimed alto saxophonist Tom Smith for an evening of swinging jazz, beautiful songs, and great standards. Known for her expressive voice, lyrical storytelling, and distinctive blend of jazz and soul influences, Milburn has built a reputation as one of the UK’s most compelling emerging vocalists, with performances at leading jazz clubs, from Ronnie Scott's to the Royal Albert Hall and festivals across the country.
She is joined by Tom Smith, one of the UK jazz scene’s most in-demand alto saxophonists, celebrated for his rich tone, inventive improvisation, and dynamic live performances. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and 2 time finalist in BBC's Young Jazz Musician Of The Year, Smith has performed at major venues including Ronnie Scott’s, the Barbican, and Kings Place, and has appeared with a wide range of leading jazz artists and ensembles including.
Together, Milburn and Smith bring a fresh and intimate collaboration shaped by deep musical interplay, drawing on material from Milburn’s recent recordings alongside selections from Smith’s acclaimed projects and arrangements. Their performance promises a sophisticated and soulful set from two outstanding voices in contemporary British jazz.
