Join us for October's Third Thursday Trip to The National Portrait Gallery on Queen Street. Where we'll Get a 1 hour tour of the amazing murals telling the history of Scotland Following July's trip to the Gallery of Modern Art to see the photography exhibition Resistance, AFGU, and Royston Wardieburn's Art & Culture group have been collaborating with the National Galleries of Scotland to explore local and international histories of resistance, through collage, song workshops and more.
In this visit to Portrait Gallery, we'll get to discuss and plan for our display of new artworks which will be installed in November in the Communities Gallery on the ground floor.
We're keeping it short this time, so we can get back to set up for our Special, Local Resistance Cinema Event in the theatre at NEA
This trip and activity is open to all adults living in North Edinburgh Arts' local area

The National Portrait Gallery
Thursday 16th October
- 9:30am - Meet at NEA to travel to Queen Street together
- OR: 10:20AM- Meet in the foyer of the portrait gallery a)
-10:30-11:30 Tour
- 11:30 -refreshments and early lunch in the Farmer Education Suite
- 12:30 - 1:30 Workshop / Try out and discuss our artworks on the plinths in the gallery - And make plans for our celebration events
- 13:30 - Back to NEA / home
