About this Event
A thought-provoking discussion unfolds when artist Lawrence Lek, curator and writer Barbara London, and Claudia Mattos, Associate Curator of New Media at The Bass, come together to discuss the ethical and cultural implications of AI as both subject and storyteller.
Framed around the exhibition Lawrence Lek: NOX Pavilion—a newly-commissioned multimedia installation exploring artificial intelligence and the emotional dimensions of technology—the conversation examines questions of narrative, simulation, and the evolving boundaries between human and machine.
With insights from London—a pioneer in the field who founded the video collection and exhibition programs at The Museum of Modern Art, New York—the discussion traces how emerging technologies transform our perceptions of personhood and power in an increasingly mediated world.
