About this Event
As spring unfolds, explore its vibrant energy through the work of two accomplished visual artists at Barrington’s White House. Susan Chelminski brings her expressive pastel work to the evening, while Ric Pass offers his creative watercolor counterpoint. This Third Thursday event invites you into their artistic worlds, hear about their processes, and view a curated selection of work created in response to the awakening season.
About the Artists
Susan Chelminski grew up surrounded by art. Drawn to their immediacy and depth of color, she works primarily in soft pastels. Her work ranges from abstract explorations to themed series that connect everyday life with bold and expressive imagery. She has exhibited throughout the region, including juried shows at the Dole Mansion and Main Street Art Center.
Ric Pass is an active painter. A member of the Barrington Area Artist Association, he serves as gallery manager for Barrington Bank and Trust. Typically working in watercolor, his work invites the viewer to reflect on objects and settings from everyday life.
Join us on the Third Thursday of each month for an evening of art, conversation, and community at Barrington’s White House. These salon-style exhibitions feature local and regional artists in our elegant first-floor gathering spaces. Enjoy engaging with the artwork and the artists themselves, with a cash bar available throughout the evening. Admission is free.
