In an increasingly digital world, the importance of physical spaces that foster community interaction and connectedness — often referred to as “Third Places”— cannot be overstated. Third Places, such as parks, museums, and public spaces, serve as vital hubs where individuals from diverse backgrounds can come together, share experiences, and build stronger, more cohesive communities.FOCUS St. Louis and the Missouri Historical Society are bringing together thought leaders and practitioners from key St. Louis institutions to explore how these spaces play a critical role in bridging communities, fostering social interaction, and enriching the overall quality of life.
The panel will feature:
-- Moderator: Harlan Hodge, Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy in St. Louis
-- Ronke Faleti, CEO, Korédé House
-- Emma Klues, Vice President of Communications & Outreach, Great Rivers Greenway
-- Kristen Sorth, Director & CEO, St. Louis County Library
-- Jody Sowell, Ph.D., President & CEO, Missouri Historical Society
