About this Event
After the success of our Book Night in January, we’re back with another collaboration with The Manchester Book Society.
This time we’re bringing together two of our favourite things - books and brunch!
We’re heading to Pot Kettle Black in Angel Gardens. Bring a book or two with you - ideally ones that you already own. We’ll chat about our books and enjoy some food, including PKB’s classic bakes, eggs benedict and avocado toast.
Once we’ve finished eating and plates have been cleared, we’ll put our books on the tables and everyone is free to walk around, take a look at the books and choose some that they fancy.
Tickets include a large hot drink and either a pastry or a brunch dish of your choice (vegetarian and vegan options available). If you'd like a brunch dish, please select this as an add-on when buying your ticket.
Don’t worry about coming to this event on your own, most people at Third Place events have never met before so we’ll all be in the same boat.

What will happen at the event?
- Once you've bought a ticket, about a week before the event, Bethany (Third Place Founder) will create a WhatsApp group for the attendees so you can put faces to the Third Place team and say 'hi' to the other attendees if you'd like to.
- When you arrive, a member of the Third Place team will be there to greet you outside Pot Kettle Black.
- We’ll be sitting across several tables in a reserved section of the restaurant.
- Get chatting!
- Food and drinks are served (you’ll choose your food a few days before and we’ll place a pre-order).
- Eat, drink and chat!
- Once plates have been cleared, we’ll put our books on the table, then wander round and see which ones we fancy.
- At 11:30am, we’ll say our goodbyes.
Costs
- Tickets cost either £10 or £20 (depending on the option you select) per person and are non-refundable.
- Your ticket includes a large hot drink and either a pastry or a brunch dish of your choice (vegetarian and vegan options available).
- Any additional drinks and food must be purchased by you.

Tram - The Exchange Square tram stop is a 10-minute walk from the venue.
Bus - There are regular buses to the city centre. The venue is a 13-minute walk from the Piccadilly Gardens bus terminus and a 4-minute walk from the Shudehill bus terminus.
Train - The venue is an 8-minute walk from Victoria train station and a 20-minute walk from Piccadilly train station.
Car - The closest car park is RCP Parking, Shudehill Entrance via Riga Street, Manchester, M4 4AF. Alternatively, Car Park Manchester Printworks (APCOA, 77 Hanover Street, Shudehill, Manchester, M4 4BB) is a 4-minute walk from the venue.
