A Women's History Month Poetry Celebration Honoring Nikki Giovanni & Women Poets

Join us for an inspiring afternoon of poetry, rhythm, and reflection as Collective Voices—featuring Sistah Joy, Brenardo, and Billye—honors the legacy of Nikki Giovanni and other trailblazing women poets and artists. We will be joined by Guest Poet Sekeithia Johnson and the dynamic Djembe Drummer Kevin Arnold for an unforgettable experience.

Presented by Collective Voices in partnership with the Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council, this Women’s History Month event celebrates the profound contributions of women to literature, culture, and the arts.

What to Expect:
  • Live Poetry Performances – Experience spoken word that uplifts, empowers, and inspires.
  • Tributes to Women Poets – Honoring the legacy of Nikki Giovanni and other influential women in literature.
  • Live Drumming – Feel the rhythm with Djembe Drummer Kevin Arnold.
