Theta Mu Chapter History
The Theta Mu Chapter (Terrible/Treacherous Theta Mu (ΘΜ) of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. was founded September 17, 1976, at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). It was initiated by William (Bill) Stanley of Delta XI Sigma of which Mack Payton was the president of the alumni chapter at the time. The founding charter line Quiet Storm included James Williams, Frank Davis, Meryl King and Kevin Clark.
Brother Kevin Clark became the first President of Theta Mu.
The chapter was conceived under the guidance of Delta XI Sigma (Milwaukee Alumni), Theta Beta (UW Whitewater Collegiate) and Iota Alpha (Chicago Collegiate) chapters. The founding line was followed by Loren Austin, Rudy Russell and Charles Ewing (line name Harvest) in the winter/spring of 1977.
