May 13, 2026 4:00—6:00 “There’s Even More to Know about Laramie’s Brothels & Madams” Rare Books archivist, author and researcher, Emma Comstock will continue the insightful saga of Laramie’s Red Light District she began with the scrapbook look at Mamie “Monte” Grover, one of our more infamous soiled doves. Monte’s intertwine with the lives of brothel owners John and Christy Grover was only some of the drama that enlivened Laramie’s downtown in the early days. Brothels fed the towns’ infra-structure and financial bottom line, becoming enduring cultural places and legacies. Learn about Madams like Minnie Ford, Dollie Randal and Mabel Hartly to know even more about this intriguing Laramie history.Receptions for Sip ‘n Savors begin at 4:00 p.m., with speakers taking the podium around 4:30.
