What is the film about?
I THINK MY R@P!$T IS A PRETTY NICE GUY is a thought-provoking, heartwrenching, and one-of-a-kind dark comedy short film about FRANKIE, an outgoing college student, who struggles to process and accept her experience of sexual assault.
What are you fundraising for?
Funds raised from the event will go towards locations, permits, costumes, food for the cast and crew during shoot dates, equipment (camera, lighting, etc.), and ad-hoc post-production needs, to name a few.
Why do you need to fundraise for a student film?
Excellent question!
While the University of Southern California does provide some creative and logistical support, all student films are predominantly funded by the students themselves. Making films is an art and a true love, but getting the technical andcraftsmanship support to make a filmmaker’s creative vision look, sound and feel as good as it can be is, unfortunately, an expensive proposition.
