While Stone Soup prides itself on inviting new talent to the stage, it’s going to be an incredibly special night to invite these two folk matriarchs to the stage. After 35-years of performing, Mary Ann Rossoni is technically retired, but like Barbara Streisand who claims the same, she keeps popping up here and there. It’s an incredible and rare opportunity to hear Maryann play solo. We’re so lucky to have her!
A member of Aquinnah Wampanoag tribe of Martha’s Vineyard MA, performing songwriter Thea Hopkins calls her music - Red Roots Americana. Many fans have commented on the beauty of Thea's vocals and lyrics. That sentiment was perhaps most succinctly stated by a former Bob Dylan tour manager, who described Thea Hopkins as "k.d. lang meets Leonard Cohen."
We’re sure to hear from her new album, “Blossoms & Ghosts”, released this spring. Bring some extra cash to the show and go home with the album after the show!
