About this Event
This workshop will analyse the key dynamics shaping the upcoming UN Biodiversity conference (COP15) and the UN climate change conference (COP26). The core workshop theme will centre around what 'transformative change' for stemming climate and biodiversity breakdown ought to entail.
The workshop will feature the following:
- A keynote talk by Sir Robert Watson, former chair of the IPBES and lead author of the recent UN report 'Making Peace with Nature'
- Two panel discussions on COP15 and COP26, and an interactive roundtable session looking beyond the twin COPs to consider other routes to transformative global political action on the environment.
This event is currently expected to take place in-person with virtual components, but it may be moved to a fully virtual format. We will send final confirmation and details to registered attendees around ten days before the event takes place.
