The Youth COSMO presents Rootopia 2025 a first-of-its-kind festival that brings India’s timeless heritage games folk rhythms and nature-inspired traditions back to life. Rootopia invites children parents and educators to step outdoors slow down and experience play as a powerful living form of learning.
Designed as an immersive cultural playground Rootopia transforms the Pune International Centre’s open-air amphitheatre into a world of movement music soil stories and community connection. Each zone is carefully curated to help children rediscover nature through hands-on play and for families to reconnect through shared experiences.

? Outdoor Play Arena
Explore the spirit of traditional martial arts such as Lathi-Kathi (Maharashtra) and Kalaripayattu (Kerala) rooted in the movements of animals agility training and harmony with the natural world.
? Traditional Board Games Lounge
Slow mindful strategy meets family fun. Discover Pallanguzhi Bagh Chal Churanga and Moksha Patam — games once played with seeds cloth boards and community wisdom.
? Cultural Corner – Tunes from Nature
Experience music born from the earth. Children play with bamboo gourds seeds and clay instruments in a folk-inspired soundscape led by Pune musicians.
? Farmer’s Corner – Taste Talk & Tradition
Meet local farmers taste millet-based snacks and hear stories from the soil that nourish both body and mind.
Rootopia follows a near zero-waste plastic-free approach reflecting The Youth COSMO’s commitment to sustainability ecological awareness and immersive learning.
