This Sunday is the Sunday before Advent. That means it’s the last Sunday of the Christian year. The Christian year begins with the expectation surrounding the birth of Jesus, Advent, and ends with Christ the King Sunday, the celebration that Jesus was, in fact, the promised Messiah.In between, there are seasons of the Christian year. Some of them, well, the meanings are obvious. Others maybe aren’t so clear.
This Sunday we’re going to have a “year in review,” which, as it turns out, is also a year in PREVIEW, as we hear scripture, sing songs (a bunch of them) and hear about the Christian seasons.
Bring your singing voice this Sunday! You’re gonna need it!
