About this Event
Our world is an inflection point. The global system is rupturing, and the mask has fallen. From the genocide in Gaza and the global drive to militarism, and from racist scaepgoating to rising authoritarianism, we need to build movements which can struggle for a different future.
This event with Abby Martin, host of the Empire Files, explores how imperialism functions today, how narratives are constructed to justify atrocities, and how we can challenge these structures.
We will examine routes toward solidarity, internationalism, and alternatives that can pave the way for a different future based on peace, cooperation and a radical redistribution of wealth and power.
Together we will dissect not only what is happening, but why, and what can be done:
- The nature of imperialism in the 21st century
- The role of media, propaganda, and censorship
- The role of social movements and global solidarity campaigns
- Contesting the American empire: What does Trump represent?
Special guests will be announced in due course - so book your ticket in advance and stay tuned.
