A reimagined, fresh, new take on the Wizard of Oz which celebrates the beloved classic but brings it into a bold new world.
See your favorite characters through fresh eyes as Oz comes alive like you’ve never seen it before.
Created and reimagined by Australian born, NYC director and creative artist Kurt Phelan. He has described this show as “Not your grandma’s Oz. But one that will take you to the same place. Home. Cause there is no place like it”
Celebrating the nostalgia of the original story but bringing it into a new age by breathing new life into this much loved American classic.
Where the phrase “I don't think we are in Kansas anymore?” takes on a whole new meaning.
About the production.
This performance is a culmination of our spring musical theatre intensive a high impact 10 week training program designed to cultivate triple threat performers. The students have immersed themselves in the rigorous demand of musical theatre, working under the expert guidance of Perry-Mansfield's renowned network of professionals and artists. Teaching them the art of craft, performing and how a show is created or in this case, reinvented as it is created.
