Christmas Wreath Workshop, Gin Tasting & NibblesThis winter, we’re back at Polly’s Social in Mold for another cosy evening of creativity, feasting, and spirits – this time with a festive twist.
The evening includes:
A guided gin tasting with Hannah – fun-loving, bubbly, and passionate about spirits. She’ll introduce you to Polly’s own gin and vodka range, sharing stories and flavours that make each one unique. You’ll sample the spirits neat to discover their character, then enjoy your favourite as a full serve with a mixer.
A festive Christmas wreath workshop with Ellen Firth of Firth Flock Flowers. Learn step-by-step how to create your own unique wreath using a handmade willow base, fresh locally sourced foliage, dried flowers, grasses, seed pods, and seasonal accents. Add pops of colour with vibrant focal flowers and delicate fillers to make something truly personal. By the end of the evening, you’ll take home a one-of-a-kind wreath to hang with pride.
Locally sourced nibbles: artisan charcuterie and cheese boards to graze on throughout the evening.
Expect a warm, festive atmosphere with music, candlelit tables, and plenty of time to sip, chat, and get into the Christmas spirit.
The wreath - Each wreath is around 20 inches wide on a 10-inch willow base. All materials are fully compostable, and the willow base is reusable – perfect for creating new arrangements throughout the year. This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to learn a new skill, enjoy the season’s abundance, and take home something that will bring festive cheer to your front door.
The spirits - Crafted with care and creativity, Polly’s spirits are as distinctive as their beers:
Fern Whisper – Polly’s House Gin - Whispered with love, this London Dry was created by Polly’s founder Sean and his wife Emily, distilled where their love story began. A delicate harmony of juniper, coriander, lemon thyme, ginger, grapefruit, linseed, burdock, hibiscus and angelica — refreshing citrus, warm spice, and aromatic herbal notes in every sip.
Enchanted Thicket – Polly’s Social Bramble - A laid-back twist on a classic, this forest fruits gin is blended with crème de mûre, lemon and a touch of sugar. Juicy, zesty, and just the right amount of sweet — a forest party in a glass.
Festoon Vodka - Smooth, versatile, and unmistakably Polly’s. Crafted with the same creativity as their brews, Festoon is your go-to spirit for bold cocktails or crisp, clean sipping.
About Firth Flock Flowers - Based just outside Ruthin, Ellen grows a wide variety of seasonal flowers with a strong focus on sustainability and wildlife-friendly farming. From tulips in spring to rich dahlias in autumn, her flowers are grown with care for the environment and arranged in a natural, abundant style that celebrates the beauty of the seasons. This workshop is a chance to learn her festive floristry tips, while working with fresh and dried materials to create something beautiful and lasting.
The food - Craft cheese & charcuterie boards – simple, local, delicious. (Please let us know dietary requirements at least a week in advance.)
