Black Founder Mental & Emotional Wellness Support
About this Event

In this session, Black entrepreneurs will review fundamental elements of stress and anxiety and their correlation to mental and physical well-being in their own lives. By the end of this session, participants will have learned about tools designed to support stress management and have developed a wellness plan that supports lifestyle integration.

Dinner will be provided.

Plan to arrive with enough time to find parking and locate our entrance at the corner of Peabody and BB King, directly across from Hooters and Hampton Inn.

About the Series:

Black entrepreneurs have a unique experience as they navigate both the challenges of starting a business and the barriers that exist for people of color. Though necessary efforts are often made to help Black founders access capital and resources, we believe it is also important to support the mental health and wellness of Black entrepreneurs as they start and maintain their business endeavors. Through an offering of five workshops, Black founders will learn how to bolster their mental and emotional wellness. If you’re a black entrepreneur looking for skills and applicable knowledge that will support your holistic health, then tap into one, two, or all of the workshops in this series.

Norms:

This is a safe space for marginalized identities in entrepreneurship.

The voices and experiences of Black founders will be elevated in this space.

Each person’s perspective of their lived experience will be respected.

Vulnerability and openness encouraged, but participants can share as much as they feel comfortable
